Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA)
During your CMAA training, you will learn basic medical ethics and regulations. Additional skills learned include:
-
Medical terminology
-
How to correctly book patient appointments
-
How to correctly document patient information
-
How to correctly file medical insurance

How to perform general office procedures
Certified Electronic Health Records Specialist (CEHRS)
This certification will teach you to properly maintain patient records. Skills gained from this certification include:
-
Audit patient records following legal compliance

Medical Coder and Biller Certification (MCBC)
Having medical coder and biller skills is extremely valuable. Every patient diagnosis has a code and those codes must be correctly submitted to insurance companies so the doctor and facility will get paid. When insurance claims are not properly coded, they get denied, causing huge financial losses for the company.
After your MCBC training you will be able to:
-
Identify medical billing laws and regulations
-
Understand insurance coverage types and plans
-
Recognize billing modifiers
-
Assist in medical insurance fraud prevention
-
Properly administer reimbursements
-
Complete health insurance claims
Certified Pharmacy Technician (ExCPT)
Skills gained from this certification are vital in a pharmacy setting. However, these skills are also valuable in any medical office. Prescriptions originate with the doctor and the staff is often required to submit the prescriptions to the pharmacy.
Ensuring prescriptions are submitted correctly saves both the patient and pharmacy a lot of time. After this certification training you will be able to:
-
Process electronic prescriptions
-
Accurately process medications
-
Prepare correct prescription labels
-
Manage inventory
