1. IT Security Specialist
This comprehensive 12-week program teaches the skills you need to protect the integrity of applications, networks and operating systems. You’ll learn to evaluate risks, implement protection strategies and respond to breaches when they happen.
The online training prepares you for the CompTIA Security+ credential, which many people use to advance into high-level security careers and certifications.
2. Patient Care Technician
The Patient Care Technician program teaches you the vital skills of direct, daily patient interaction. Those skills include performing EKG tests, blood draw (phlebotomy), assisting with minor procedures and administering medicines.
You can prepare for this dynamic and high-demand healthcare career in 23 weeks. Students who complete the program can sit for the CPCT certification through the NHA and the Certified Customer Service Professional (CCSP) exam.
3. Medical Assistant
In the Medical Assistant program, you’ll learn what’s needed to care for patients and to help run medical offices. The program includes lessons on hands-on skills like how to assist with minor procedures, administer medications and record patient vital signs. It also covers administrative and basic laboratory functions and teaches you the basics of human anatomy.
When you finish this 27-week program, you’ll be eligible to apply for your Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) certification.
4. Project Management
The Project Management program is one of the most versatile Army COOL programs out there. It teaches the skills you need to lead projects of all sizes in almost any industry, from IT to general contracting. You’ll learn how to define project objectives, create and maintain schedules and facilitate communication.
The program is geared toward preparing you for the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) credential, issued by the Project Management Institute.
5. PC Technician
The PC Technician program from MedCerts teaches the essential skills of building, configuring, maintaining and repairing computers.
After you complete two six-week courses, you’ll be eligible to apply for the CompTIA A+ certification, a foundational IT credential.
6. IT Network Technician
The IT Network Technician program teaches you the basics of today’s most popular wired and wireless network setups. You’ll learn about network design, installation and maintenance, including how to identify problems with connectivity and network performance.
