MedCerts Cybersecurity Analyst Program

MedCerts was founded in 2009 and provides a fully online curriculum focused on healthcare and IT certifications.

MedCerts offers many certifications in the IT industry, including a Cybersecurity Analyst Program. This program is for workers already in the field who want to advance their careers. The average annual starting salary for a cybersecurity analyst is $60,000.

Completion of this program will result in two certifications: CySA+ and CSC.

To begin this program you will need to meet the following enrollment requirements:

  • Obtain a High School Diploma or GED.

  • Be able to connect to a web browser and internet.

  • Complete the course registration and payment.

  • Complete the CompTIA Security+ and Network+ certifications, or have the equivalent experience.

  • Have a minimum of 3 to 4 years of hands-on information security or related experience.

Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA)

CompTIA is one of the leading voices in the technology industry with tens of thousands of registered users. To begin your journey in the cybersecurity field, you will need to complete the entry-level certifications including CompTIA Security+ and Network+.

Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) Certification

The CySA+ certification is an advanced certification that will teach you the newest approach to preventing cyber-attacks. Skills gained from this training include:

  • Configure and use threat detection tools.

  • Perform data analysis.

  • Identify threats, vulnerabilities and risks to a company.

  • Implement threat countermeasures.

  • Secure and protect company systems and data.

‌Customer Service Certified (CSC) Credential

Cybersecurity Analysts spend a lot of time working on a computer. However, that doesn’t mean they don’t need people skills. In this program, you will learn about important customer service standards vital to every career. Therefore, the CSC certification is transferable to any profession.

‌Payment Options and Funding

Tuition for the Cybersecurity Analyst Program is $2,200. It includes the cost of all materials and exam fees. The tuition, however, doesn’t include the cost of the prerequisite certifications.

Tuition for MedCerts can be paid for via grant, scholarship or out of pocket. The certifications provided by MedCerts are approved for federal funding and the My Career Advancement Account (MyCAA) Scholarship.
