Did You Know That MedCerts Works Closely with American Job Centers?

Interested in the best online training for your participants?

At MedCerts, key partnerships are critical in achieving our goal of helping people earn the credentials they need to pursue and sustain rewarding careers. Our goal is always to provide our students with a comprehensive education that’s focused on their interested job paths, and it makes it much easier on our students when we have a dedicated ally.

Enter American Job Centers. These workforce agencies “help businesses find qualified workers and help job seekers obtain employment and training services to enhance their careers.” In other words, it’s the perfect win-win for businesses and job candidates.

What Exactly Do American Job Centers Do?

American Job Centers (AJCs) are a critical part of the workforce investment system, which was continued by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act in 2014. AJCs provide programs to those who are eligible for government assistance for education and/or training. Right now there are nearly 2,500 AJCs in 26 states, all of which are funded by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration.

The idea is to give workers, job seekers, and businesses the services they need in one convenient location. Per the benefits.gov website, these services include:

  • Assessment of skills, abilities, aptitudes, and needs
  • Assistance with Unemployment Insurance
  • Access to employment services such as the states’ job board and labor market information
  • Career counseling
  • Job search and job placement assistance
  • Information on training, education, and related supportive services such as daycare and transportation

MedCerts’ Certifications For Workforce Agencies

We want workers and job seekers to know about the valuable services these state workforce agencies provide, so they can receive government funding for training programs. To see if you’re eligible for the benefit, answer the questionnaire on the benefits.gov website.

We often find that with the staff at these agencies having so many options, and approved programs always changing, they might not know that MedCerts’ career training programs are approved for the people they help. We have four areas of certification, with a focus on healthcare, but which programs are approved varies depending on the state. Here’s a quick overview of what we offer.

Healthcare and Medical Certifications

With serious growth projected for the healthcare industry, certified professionals will be in high demand over the next decade. Our healthcare certification program categories are:

  • Front office
  • Back office
  • Clinical
  • Pharmacy

Information Technology Certifications

Another ever-expanding industry, IT professionals also enjoy job security and multiple paths for advancing a lucrative career. With the right training and certification, you can find a job that fits your specific skills and personality.

  • IT HelpDesk
  • IT Security
  • IT Network

Other Business Certifications

Our career training programs aren’t limited to healthcare and IT. We also create programs that provide individuals more broad skills for a plethora of careers. Each career training we develop is based on a need for workers with that certification. Our additional certifications include:
