The award categories won were Career Prep and STEM/STEAM for innovative programs and apps that support an enhanced healthcare training process. Career Prep: MedCerts Surgical Technologist Online Certification Training

Campus Technology recognized MedCerts in the Career Prep category for its Surgical Technologist Online Certification Training program. This unique curriculum gives students an enhanced educational experience with simulated surgical procedures and virtual, hands-on learning.

The technologies and tools the students use help create safer and more engaging experiences that they will be able to remember and repeat. Students are also prepared to become Tech in Surgery – Certified by the National Center for Competency Testing.

Surgical technologists play a key role in the operating room and must anticipate the surgeon’s needs, stay attentive and ensure a safe environment. MedCerts brings in the technologies necessary to prepare students for this non-traditional work environment.

STEM/STEAM: MedCerts Intro to Human Anatomy Course App

Under the STEM/STEAM category, MedCerts was recognized for its Intro to Human Anatomy Course app. This innovative app employs a sophisticated 3D and augmented reality integration that allows students to explore anatomy and more effectively measure comprehension of class materials.

The app provides a 3D experience to look inside the human body, which helps students get immersed and learn in an engaging way. It has around 50 simulations to let students visualize what they are learning.

This app helps students train in an environment similar to that of medical professionals who have completed their education. The Intro to Human Anatomy Course is key to teaching students the language of medicine and an overview of anatomy and physiology.
