MedCerts has been working with military families for over 10 years, so our programs are uniquely designed to work with a military lifestyle. Here’s what that looks like.
1. Many Programs to Choose From
Continuing education in the military is a balancing act. Some soldiers want something that fits their military occupational specialty, but others are training for a post-military, civilian career.
MedCerts offers several Army CA-approved programs, so you can choose the one that suits your goals. Most of our Army students lean toward IT and project management programs, including:
· IT Security Specialist, a 12-week program that teaches you to assess, prevent and respond to risks in computers and systems.
· IT Network Technician, which prepares you to set up and maintain wired and wireless networks.
· Cybersecurity Analyst, which teaches you to assess hacks and security threats, with a focus on “defensive” strategies to protect organizations at risk
· Project Management Essentials, an extremely versatile program that prepares you to lead projects across industries and in the military.
You’ll also find programs available in healthcare, customer support and more.
2. No Cost to You
Thanks to Army Credentialing Assistance funding, many MedCerts programs are available to eligible soldiers with no out-of-pocket cost. The majority of programs through MedCerts cost less than $4000 and include all textbooks and materials needed. If you’re on a tight budget, this can make a big difference.
3. Flexible Learning Schedule
Driving to class, or logging in, at a set time every day won’t work for most soldiers. MedCerts programs are the true definition of flexible – no class times, a personal learning portal with all your coursework accessible whenever you are. Just log in 24/7 and work on your schedule.
There’s also assistance available 24/7 if you get stuck. MedCerts online help center can answer most questions and your personal student success advisor will be there when you need motivation, study support or subject matter expertise.
4. Programs Are 6 Months or Less
You could be anywhere in the world next year, so committing to a course is challenging. That’s why all of MedCerts’ Army CA eligible programs take six months or less to complete.
Some take much less than that. The PC Technician Program, for example, can take just 12 weeks.
And because all MedCerts courses are fully online, you can still complete your course if you have to move unexpectedly.
5. Alumni Qualify for Discounts
Once you complete one program through MedCerts, you qualify for 40% off any other program we offer. Taking advantage of this discount is a great way to continue your professional education in the military or after you separate from service. In combination with your annual $4000 in Credentialing Assistance, you could take several courses throughout your military career.
With MedCerts, it’s easier than ever to build your credentials in the military and prepare for your future career. We look forward to helping you take your next steps.
