Updates to MedCerts IT Program
The new ITProTV content upgrade means MedCerts courses will have a few key changes, including changes to course content, exams and assessments, and practice labs. The first programs that transitioned to the ITProTV format are:
Virtual Labs
ITProTV courses are online, on-demand, video-based learning, which means new courses won’t have ebooks or physical texts. Instead, you will learn critical concepts via engaging videos and practice your skills with virtual labs. Each new course version integrates with IT Practice Labs, a digital solution that allows you to develop your IT skills.
Exams and Assessments
MedCerts will also phase out Brillium Knowledge Assessments from IT courses. Instead, you’ll prepare for your certification exam with CyberVista practice exams. You’ll be able to take and retake tests before you write your examination.
Curriculum Changes
There are a couple changes to the curriculum as well. All IT programs will no longer contain Microsoft Office or the licensed customer service course.
What’s Staying the Same for MedCerts IT Courses
While the content style and interactive tools will change with the ITProTV upgrade, some elements will stay the same.
Course Length
The length of study will remain the same for each IT course, except for IT Fundamentals. This course will increase from 32 hours to 48 hours, which translates to an extra week of study.
Program Cost
Content upgrades won’t affect program pricing. That means your cost to study new skills will remain the same. You can still gain the IT certification you need to start a new career and increase your income potential with deeper cost savings than in a traditional university learning environment.
Start Learning With MedCerts New Information Systems Security Program
Along with the content upgrade, MedCerts launched a new advanced IT certification program. The Certified Information Systems Security Professional program provides experienced IT security professionals with the technical skills to design, build and manage security to international standards.
Eligible students need a minimum of 3 years of IT security experience for admission and a minimum of 5 years of paid full-time work experience to earn certification. However, you may take the exam if you have less than five years of experience, but there are other requirements.
With informational technology jobs expected to grow by 33% over the next ten years, an IT career is the perfect path to explore. MedCerts’ new ITProTV expert-led video learning provides interactive training to help you advance your career.
