What Is MyCAA?
MyCAA stands for Military Spouse Career Advancement Account. It’s a government-funded scholarship program that provides financial assistance to military spouses who want to return to school for career advancement.
Is MyCAA Legit?
Yes, MyCAA is a legitimate scholarship program available to military spouses of active-duty members of certain ranks. The program offers education funding, career planning and employment readiness counseling, though there are eligibility requirements.
Training and Education Grant
MyCAA provides a maximum grant of $4,000 with a yearly cap of $2,000. You can use this financial assistance to pay for the education that will maintain or lead to an associate degree, certification or license.
Planning and Coaching
MyCAA also offers coaching to help you identify potential career paths and complete the application. MyCAA coaches help with career assessments, training and education plans, finding MyCAA-approved schools, such as MedCerts, and identifying career opportunities.
Employment Readiness Counseling
The MyCAA program also connects you with employers and provides employment readiness counseling. Access networks, like the Military Spouse Employment Partnership, search for job openings and learn how to create a successful resume. Coaches are on hand to review your resume, discover resources and help you achieve meaningful employment.
