What Does the Program Cover?

The Cisco Certified Network Associate program will prepare you to take the CCNA exam to prove you know the latest networking technologies, including security, automation, and programmability. We’ll cover all of the topics on the CCNA exam, including:

  • Network fundamentals

  • Network access

  • IP connectivity

  • IP services

  • Security fundamentals

  • Automation

  • Programmability

After you complete this certification, you’ll be job-ready with one of the most sought-after and respected associate-level certifications. You’ll also be qualified to continue your training to advance towards Professional and Expert certifications.

The CCNA program consists of two courses:

CS-1011: Customer Service Professional – Level 1

This module prepares you with the core customer service skills you’ll need as a network professional. Though it may seem as though computer networking is primarily a technical skill, customer service is an essential aspect. This course will qualify you for the designation of “Customer Service Certified (CSC)” by the Professional Association for Customer Engagement (PACE). The six modules cover skills such as:

  • The importance of customer service

  • How to increase customer retention

  • The five key elements of employee competence

  • Questioning techniques to find the root of a problem

  • Techniques to defuse anger and aggression

  • How customer service teams can improve customer satisfaction

IT-2014: Cisco Certified Network Associate with Practice Labs

This course will teach you to install, operate, configure, and verify a basic IPv4 and IPv6 network. While this is a “vendor-specific” course (it only teaches you to use products and solutions created by Cisco), their reputation and market share make this credential highly preferred by employers hiring for networking jobs.

You’ll learn network fundamentals and how to configure networks using components such as switches, routers, and wireless LAN controllers. A series of labs are designed to give you hands-on practice honing your skills in real-world scenarios. This course prepares you for the 200-301 Cisco Certified Network Associate (CNNA) exam by covering the following topics:

  • The components and characteristics of a computer network

  • The features and functions of Cisco IOS software

  • Installing a switch and performing initial configuration

  • The TCP/IP internet layer, IPv4, including addressing scheme and subnetting

  • The TCP/IP Transport and Application layers

  • Routing functions and configuration on a Cisco router

  • Network and device architecture and introductory virtualization

  • Management of Cisco devices

  • The current security threat issues

Conclusion

The CCNA certification program is a great opportunity to take your skills to the next level. You can access this training from anywhere with a high-speed internet connection and your Student Success Advisor will provide support throughout your course, so you’ll never feel like you’re on your own.

Our clear outline will help with pacing, so you can finish in the prescribed amount of time and be ready for the exam. When you’ve completed the class, we’ll cover the cost of the exam.
