Do Space Force Benefits Include AF COOL Credentials?

While the U.S. Space Force is the newest branch of our military, the education benefits offered to service members are on par with all other branches of the United States Armed Forces – meaning the Guardians enjoy the same training and career opportunities as Airmen and many other military personnel.

In short, yes -Space Force benefits include Air Force COOL credentials.

When the Space Force was established in 2019, it formalized the Department of Defense’s commitment to space while offering an exciting career path for new military professionals. Like other active-duty enlisted personnel, Guardians receive benefits like a competitive salary, affordable insurance and exciting academic advancement.

The latter — educational opportunities — can set up military personnel for professional success after they complete their service. And that’s where Air Force COOL comes in.

What is AF COOL?

Air Force COOL, (Credentialing Opportunities Online) is a system that connects you with academic advancement opportunities. It’s an important step in discovering industry-recognized credentials and licenses that you can use as a Guardian and afterward in whatever field interests you.

When you meet the AF COOL requirements for Space Force Guardians, you gain access to funding up to $4,500 to pay for credentials through approved schools like MedCerts.

To start an application on AF COOL, you’ll simply log into the Air Force Virtual Education Center and start exploring academic opportunities. When you find a track that can result in a stronger resume, you can create an education goal through the online system. Upload the files to demonstrate your eligibility, and then you can apply for funding.

Finding the Right School

When you apply for funding, you’ll need to share information about the exam — and that means you’ll have to decide on an academic institution that’s best for you. If you’re like most enlisted personnel, you may struggle with the confines of traditional schools. You could even receive new orders requiring you to relocate before completing the course.

That’s why so many Guardians and Airmen gain their credentials through remote learning schools like MedCerts. At MedCerts, everything you need to succeed is included in the cost. This includes study guides, materials, textbooks, fees and exam costs. You won’t have to worry about going beyond your Space Force benefits. The best part – most MedCerts programs cost $4,000 or less.

Additionally, the Education Consultants at MedCerts are all military veterans and have first-hand experience working with enlisted military personnel. They understand the unique challenges you face and can help you along the way, so you feel supported from the first call to a MedCerts Education Consultant.

Take Advantage of Space Force Benefits

While you likely joined the U.S. Space Force for the opportunity to serve the nation from, in, and beyond space, don’t miss taking advantage of the academic benefits of being a Guardian.

Since Space Force benefits do indeed include AF COOL, you can start right away on a path that will strengthen your career during your service and in your future as a civilian. This is an important step to help you become a better Guardian — and beyond.

The Air Force, Department of Defense and Department of the Air Force are not affiliated with MedCerts and do not endorse our services.
