LIVONIA, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--MedCerts, a leader in online career certification training, is partnering with Snagajob, America’s largest platform for hourly work, to prepare unemployed and low-income workers to step into gainful employment across 33 U.S. states.
The “MedCerts + Snagajob = Dream Career” program has a goal of assisting participants in completing certification training and starting new careers in healthcare and IT fields. Through collaboration with local workforce development boards and career centers, participants will be able to complete career training at no cost.
Snagajob has over 700,000 employer partners in the U.S. and Canada, connecting its 100 million registered job seekers with potential employment opportunities, services, and partnerships nationwide. MedCerts offers over 40 online training programs that lead to national certification in the industries of healthcare and IT.
“This collaboration with Snagajob is a natural extension of MedCerts’s mission to help individuals reskill and pursue high-growth careers,” said Jason Aubrey, CEO of MedCerts. “We look forward to making these in-demand skills accessible to Snagajob’s vast network of job-seekers looking for their next career opportunity, and to getting people back to work in high-wage and in-demand jobs.”
With healthcare occupations projected to grow 16% and IT occupations to grow 13% by 2030, this innovative partnership will bring together key players in the upskilling and employment assistance arenas. Snagajob will refer thousands of eligible job seekers to MedCerts programs based on individual needs and career goals, including dislocated workers, active-duty Army, National Guard, and Army Reserve members, military spouses, SNAP and TANF participants, migrant or seasonal workers, youth (16-24 years of age), and more.
“Our vision is to empower people to design a work plan that makes their individual life goals attainable—through full-time, part-time and on-demand jobs and via skills training and advancement opportunities. We are excited to partner with MedCerts and offer our job-seekers incredible opportunities through certification training,” said Andrea Barger, Snagajob’s Vice President of Marketing. “This collaboration will help workers level up their skills and expand their potential in a big step towards a meaningful, fulfilling career.”
