You’ll act as the pharmacist’s right hand and assist with everything from processing prescription requests from patients and doctors, handling insurance claim forms, properly labeling medications and more.

What You’ll Learn – RX 3000 Pharmacy Technician Professional (ASHP/ACPE)
MedCerts Pharmacy Technician program provides the highest level of training as defined by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP). The ASHP/ACPE (Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education) recognizes pharmacy technician training programs that meet their quality and compliance standards through formal accreditation.
To earn the ASHP/ACPE certification for Pharmacy Technician Professional, you’ll complete three online courses: Professionalism in Allied Health, Introduction to Human Anatomy and Medical Terminology, and Pharmacy Technician Principles and Practices. Additionally, you will participate in a 160-hour Externship at a pharmacy, furthering your skills by applying what you’ve learned through the online pharmacy technician training program in a real-world environment.
The combination of MedCerts online courses and the 160-hour externship will prepare you to pass the Pharmacy Technician Certification Examination (PTCE), administered by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), and earn national recognition as a CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician).
