MedCerts career training programs are connected to national certification exams and credentials for entry-level employment. Some of the major issuing authorities we work with include the National Healthcareer Association (NHA), Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) and CompTIA.
Each program has a different number of certificates attached to it. Your program will cover the cost of each exam connected to that program.
Our career training programs result in nationally accredited certifications through the governing bodies of the National Healthcareer Association (NHA), Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), Behavior Analysis Certification Board (BACB), American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC), American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), CompTIA and more.
MedCerts is licensed and registered by the State of Michigan’s Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs as a Proprietary School. MedCerts programs have been approved by an assortment of industry-specific organizations, the Department of Defense’s MyCAA program and are listed on over thirty (30) State Approved Training Provider Lists (ETPLs).
Our technical requirements are minimal, students only need:
- Computer
- Access to the internet/Wifi
- Chrome browser
We have developed a custom Learning Management System (LMS) where all coursework, quizzes and exam prep live. It tracks progress and offers insight into program completion and provides a schedule of upcoming tasks and courses.
Students learn through the 12 elements of eLearning model. Including:
- HD quality instructor-led videos
- 3D animations
- Virtual training scenarios
- Interactive games
Most MedCerts programs take 3-6 months to complete, based on a schedule dedicating 16 to 20 hours a week to coursework. Our online programs are self-paced and all coursework is available at the start of your program so there is no set schedule of days or times you must log in, but there are benchmarks to keep you on track. The Student LMS monitors progress throughout the program to provide insight if you are on schedule with standard program completion.
MedCerts Career Services team is dedicated to building partnerships with healthcare organizations and providing resources to assist students in finding local career opportunities. While we cannot guarantee placements, all students receive free access to resume builders, cover letter templates and job search resources. Those in programs with clinical requirements receive assistance in sourcing Experiential Learning opportunities including internships, externships, apprenticeships and job shadows.
