The 18-week course focuses on four core modules:

  • PS 1011 Professionalism in Allied Health: This two-week course focuses on the soft skills needed in the medical field. From conflict resolution and open communication to adhering to medical ethics, professionalism is essential in healthcare settings.    
  • HI 1014 Introduction to Human Anatomy and Medical Terminology: During this six-week course, you’ll be immersed in 3D and AR environments to learn body systems, anatomical features and key medical terminology.  
  • HI 1013 Health Unit Coordinating: Over six weeks, you’ll learn best practices for inpatient care and discharge, infection control, physician orders and medical communication and computer systems. 
  • HI 1018 Electronic Health Records: This four-week module prepares you to work with EHR systems, whether updating medical records or handling billing, insurance or medical information management.
