Can MedCerts Students Get Student Discounts? What to Know - MedCerts

Is Short-Term Online Career Training Right for You?

The student experience brings exciting discoveries and learning paths. It also brings extra costs. As a student, you’re working hard to further your education and achieve your career goals, which means you could always benefit from discounts. Saving money is a universally loved perk, helping you set aside more funds for fun activities or student essentials.

However, knowing how to get student discounts and where to find them isn’t always easy.

How Student Discounts Work

Student discounts are the reduced prices, as a percentage of overall cost, that you get from businesses for being an enrolled student. Some businesses offer discounts openly, while others only offer if asked.

In most cases, you’ll need to show a student ID or provide your student email to access these discounts. Some businesses use third-party verification services, like ID.me or SheerID, to verify student status for online student discounts. To use these third-party services, you’d need to provide information such as:

  • Full name

  • Email address

  • Name of enrolled institution

You’ll also be asked to upload some documents, such as an official enrollment letter, tuition receipt, class schedule or student ID.

Can You Get a Discount as a MedCerts Student?

In many cases, yes, you can get student discounts as a MedCerts student. However, each business has its own rules for student discount requirements and what they’ll accept as proof.

MedCerts doesn’t provide physical student ID cards or a separate MedCerts email address for each student. So, to use your student discount online, it’s best to use a third-party service. Once you're verified, you can use that service to prove your student status.

The MedCerts Alumni Discount

Another perk of enrolling in MedCerts as a former student is using the alumni discount. Perhaps you took the Electronic Health Records and Reimbursement Specialist training and now want to add the Medical Coding and Billing certification. When you come back to MedCerts for additional training, you can get 40% off the cost of tuition.

Stackable credentials increase the potential for salary bumps and new career opportunities. You’ll gain a competitive advantage over other candidates when you can show a broader skill range and proven certification.
