If you want to combine an interest in networking technology with helping people, becoming an IT Helpdesk Administrator could be the right career for you. According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, it’s a healthy field to be in, with 9% expected growth from 2020 to 2030.
IT Helpdesk Administrators assist people with information technology (IT) problems and can assist with various IT tasks such as installing programs and managing computer networks.
Since any organization with a network of computers will need help with IT, this role is available in many different settings. You could work at your local library, at a hospital, or at a finance firm. It’s also a job that will likely continue to be in demand in the future.

Microsoft Office Series III
Microsoft Office software is ubiquitous in office environments, and IT professionals are expected to know its programs well. Taking this course prepares you to be proficient in the Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint programs as well as Microsoft 365.
The A+ Comprehensive is a primer in the fundamentals of information technology. Importantly, this course also covers professionalism and communication skills expected of IT professionals who may work at a help desk.
The Network+ course builds on the knowledge gained in A+, preparing you to manage corporate network infrastructure.
Completing the above coursework qualifies you to take two certification exams issued by the Computing Technology Industry Association, or CompTIA. The testing fees for the following certifications are covered by your MedCerts tuition.
