Frequently Asked Questions
MedCerts programs range from $1,300 to $6,000 depending on the courses and how many certifications are included. The majority of our programs cost between $2,000 and $4,000 total. All program costs include textbooks, materials, learning portal access, an assigned Student Success Advisor, a Career Coach and the cost of national certification exams.
You can pay in full with no interest or we have a range of payment plan options to fit your budgetary needs. Our payment plans can be customized anywhere between 3 and 12 months. Interest rates and exact total monthly payment amounts will vary depending on several factors, including the cost of your program, length of payment plan and down payment amount.
MedCerts is an approved vendor for the Department of Defense’s Education Benefits for three military service fields – the Army, Coast Guard and Air Force.
- Through the Army Credentialing Assistance Program, active-duty Army, Army Reserve, and National Guard are eligible for up to $2,000 per fiscal year to use toward credentials.
- The Coast Guard Credentialing Opportunities Online (COOL) program offers up to $4,500 in financial assistance every fiscal year to active duty Coast Guard who meet eligibility requirements.
- The Air Force COOL program offers $4,500 to active-duty Air Force, Air Force Reserve, Air Force National Guard, and US Space Force.
- MedCerts is not currently an approved vendor for Marine Corp COOL.
MedCerts is an approved school for the My Career Advancement Account (MyCAA) scholarship, which is available to military spouses of active duty service members in the ranks of E-1 to E-6, W-1 to W-2, and O-1 to O-3. This scholarship offers up to $4,000 towards licenses, certifications or Associate’s degrees – distributed in increments of $2,000 per fiscal year. MedCerts does not accept Pell Grants or GI Bill funding.
We do not accept financial aid or FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). MedCerts is a certification training provider and not a 2- or 4-year university, therefore we do not qualify for FAFSA. Additionally, the majority of MedCerts programs cost less than $4,000 total. We do offer payment plans and accept some Department of Labor and Department of Defense grants and scholarships.
MedCerts is proud to work closely with over 30 American Job Centers across the US in supporting low or no-income individuals with pursuing their career goals. We accept the Department of Labor’s Workforce Innovation and Opportunities Act (WIOA) funding and other federal, state and local grants that assist individuals in finding affordable education.
